Lavender House Productions
About Events Code of Conduct
Lavender House Productions is a non-profit organization dedicated to the mission of using interactive storytelling, including live-action role-playing (LARP), to deepen public understanding of queer histories, identities, and social dynamics, and to foster community engagement.
We focus primarily on designing and facilitating LARP experiences that explore and reflect on queer experiences, both historically and in contemporary society. These events may take place in fictional or fantasy settings while still centering and critically exploring issues relevant to queer identities and communities. Through interactive storytelling, we seek to help participants engage empathetically with diverse perspectives, challenge bias, and build inclusive communities.
In addition to the LARP events, we also develop educational resources that support the design, facilitation, and critical exploration of queer-centered LARP and interactive storytelling. These resources include written guides, online materials, and other learning tools to help community members and educators create inclusive, respectful, and affirming environments. We will also host occasional workshops and mentorship opportunities to train facilitators and community leaders in inclusive design, improvisational skills, the importance and use of storytelling in everyday life, and community care practices.
